I successfully migrated cyrus-imapd from a 32-bit SuSE Linux 9.3 to a 64-bit CentOS 5.5.
The only additional step I needed to do was to create an empty directory as follows before restarting the service on the new server.
sudo -u cyrus mkdir /var/lib/imap/rpm
