About Viktor
With more than 10 years of experience with Open Source-software, it is safe to say that I’m not just using Open Source and Linux as a buzz-word. I grew up with Open Source technology and I embrace the mindset. I have even devoted an entire page to Open Source, where I publish tools and solutions (assuming the client agrees to it).
At the same time, I also understand the business aspect. Being the co-founder of WireLoad and with a degree in Management from Santa Clara University, I certainly understand business aspect too!
A large part of my consulting is within process innovation. This oftentimes include bringing in components from the Open Source as part of the solution. For instance, I developed SimpleSlide for client who wanted to have a professional looking slide deck in his store-front without the fuzz of needing to create a new slide deck for every update. With SimpleSlide, he simply drag and drops an image file over the network and SimpleSlide takes care of the rest.
I also perform generic technology consulting for Small and Mid-size Businesses (SMB). Where my main focus is on the network and server side. An example of technical consulting I’ve developed for a customer is a thin client solution. The interesting twist here is that the entire infrastructure that can support up to 10+ users was less than $3,000. For more information about this, see the blog articles I wrote while setting up the solution (part 1, part 2).
